Hi Neighbour Program

Hi Esquimalt business community!

Recently, we told you about a community builder program called Hi Neighbour taking place in Esquimalt. It’s a United Way initiative made possible through a donation from Seaspan and Southern Railway of British Columbia with the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.

The goal of the program is to create neighbourhood opportunities to  provide support and critical services to seniors, people living with a disability, people living in poverty, single parents, and people with mental health concerns.

Join United Way Greater Victoria CEO Mark Breslauer, and Joe O’Rourke, Vice President and General Manager, Seaspan Victoria Shipyards to learn more about the initiative and how you can get involved.

The B.C. government is preparing to allocate the $1.5 billion fund for business recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, and has launched a six-week public consultation on how to do it.

Your input is required. The survey will be open until July 21, 2020 at 4 pm (PDT) and should take under 15 minutes to complete.
