On April 16, 2020, the South Island Prosperity Partnership announced the creation of the Rising Economy Taskforce to coordinate a strong response to the urgent economic crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the most comprehensive industry-led economic recovery initiative in BC, and will undertake a thorough process of crafting the best strategy to move the region into our next economy.
